Not sold on the TRUNK LID MOD! Ruin the lid for a couple oz's of

On top of that it still has the struts in place LOL, I would've done away with those and just used a prop rod to hold it open and saved more weight without having to cut the thing.

A guy on a local forum said he removed his spare tire, jack and lug wrench out of his C6 to shave 100 lbs

I have been thru just about every inch of my C6 and yet to find those. Any tips on where they're located?

Like many have said, it takes a lot of weight to make significant performance improvements. "Significant" is relative of course. If you're looking for 100ths of a second then every little bit helps. For a track car you can practically gut the entire car. If you're just trying to lighten a street car, go with wheels, tires, brakes, and clutch/flywheel. It will offer the most gains with the least invasiveness and you can still enjoy the car.

Actually if you're going drag racing skinnies and 53 lb seat out gave me two tenths pretty consistently.

Basically the op needs to let us know his criteria and intended use of the car

Funnier than that is even if a C6 did have a spare/jack/lug wrench on board, their combined total still wouldn't weigh 100 pounds LOL.

Maybe he was banking on it having two spares (for the 18 and 19) that could get close
