Service Light ?

Service Light ?
While backing out of the driveway yesterday I noticed a message coming from the dash display, it said "Service Charging System" the message flashed so quickly that I could hardly make it out. I then proceeded to my destination. I saw the message a flash quickly approximately 3 more times. I hooked up my new OB2 sensor do see the code there were no codes detected
. So I called the dealer who said that if there is no code then they would have to drive the car with a sensor hooked up until the light came up again, that's not what I really want to do. Gurus give me some options.

Thanks Rick although I still have my stock battery, I know that it has been disconnected in the past. I'm going to check the battery cable and if that's not the issue I'll check some of the other possibilities horn etc, I really don't want to go to the dealer unless it can be dealt with right away and I know that's not going to happen there.
