How do I remove steering column cover

I need to replace the windshield wiper switch (sticks out of the column)
on a 2005 C6. What has to be removed to get the cover apart?

In the '06, anyway, the column cover is of different design depending on whether you have the telescoping column or not.

Also, the Service Manual instructions on removing the non-telescoping column cover are incorrect - but what else is new.

As I recall, the non-telescoping cover has obvious screws, and the rest is snap-together. You don't have to remove the tilt lever to get the bottom cover off. I've never done a telescoping cover.

mine is telescoping, do you have to remove the dash panel of just the lower panel to get the column cover apart?

I'm looking for so instructions also. Want to recover it in leather if I can get it off. Mine is a 2005 with a telescoping column.

Anyone find instruction?
