No, there are other options but unfortunately there is less standardization/proven information on them.
With the CCWs or GTO spares we pretty much know what they do and don't fit on so it's easier to answer questions about them.
With the other options (Bogarts, Holeshot, Weld etc.) you will have to do more research and possibly even take the risk of ordering a set while hoping that all of the info you gave them translates into skinnies that clear the brakes and have the proper offset etc.

Here's another nice (and quite expensive) option:

Ok thanks. So has anyone experimented with some of those wheels to see what fits and what doesn't? No grinding. I've got an 06 c6 z51. Looking for cheap. Any help is appreciated

True, for that matter neither are the 18s that some guys go with for better clearance as well.

The cheapest setup is the gto spares and the temp tires that come on them. There was a set for sale on ls1 tech for $100 recently. You need 1.5" adapters to clear the z51 brakes and you can get them on eBay.

There are quite a few 17" motorcycle tires the correct size. Anybody tried a set? Looks like they might have less rolling resistance with their curvature.

I doubt they have the load capacity...the Vette has ~ 800 lbs per wheel.

Starting with the load index of 73 they are rated over 800 lbs. http://www.usmotorcycletires.com/load_index_ratings.php

Thinking back to changing my motorcycle tires using tire spoons....don't try have different beads?

Just foolin with you. It might be a good idea. Seems like dragsters use motorcycle tires, or at least special crowned tires like motorcycles.

Oh I know..I just took the 3200 weight of the car /4 = 800. I honestly don't think you could safely run a car on a motorcycle tire as no motorcycles have weight that high. But dragsters run such tires so racing tires like that do exist.

Dragsters are a while lot lighter than our vettes too. Particularly the front. Not even sure we can find a dragster tire the right size and diameter.

I think the best tire to run are the M&H front runners. Don't know what their weight rating is but M&H has a belted and a radial the correct diameter. The belted has a 4" wide wheel rating and radial a 5". http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?...on=show_detail

The fast guys that I know use these.

Driving on the skinnies is no fun. I did it, and it was fine, I felt it pushing on exit ramps and slowed down, and got used to the trammeling when there was uneven pavement (but there were a couple of white knuckle moments)...but now that I've got my 295/345 setup back on the car...wow is it a lot more fun to drive.

I used to drive 53 miles to the track on Moroso belted front runners with ET Streets (not radials) in the rear. Took it easy around curves but I did feel safe. And I did this without incident for about 7 years averaging at least once a month.
