I am about to pull the trigger on new exhaust for my 2008 coupe. I have the stock 'x' pipe, and I'm wondering how difficult the installation will be. How long should it take for 2 guys that are used to wrenching on motors, not doing exhaust? How long would it take the experts?
Thats great to hear. Did you have the car on a lift or just jack and stands?
Replaced my stock axle back mufflers on my '08 base coupe with SLP Loudmouth II. Used a hoist to make it easier. Appox. hour to an hour & a half time should do it. It helps to have a second person to view the rear of the car as you align the tail pipe tips to make them symetrical. Can be done with jackstands but requires more effort due to limited working space.
i have the borla stingers on my full bolt on c6 ls3 mn6 it is the best exhaust ive heard on a corvette that gives true muscle car sound and not a tuned sound that corsa gives that tries to imitate higher end exotics.
it took my local mechanic 15-20 minutes to install along with the borla x pipe. Any monkey with a wrench could get this job done quick
