I have a 2007 with F55. The car has 23,000 miles on it. I just got the message “service ride control” I clear it and it comes back in 20 – 30 minutes. I have switched the selector to sport and then back to tour and it seems to me all is working correctly that way. My interest is to know what might be the cause of the message before I take it in.
Anyone have an experience with this and any easy solution? I would like to check it out myself before taking it in.
Not an expert here, but I'd check the electrical connections on both the shocks and the sensors first. Also when checking the sensors, verify that the connecting rod is in place and working correctly with the suspension arm.
It's possible for crap on the road to fly up and cause damage.
Based "only" on what little I've seen reported here on the Forum, it is probably a bad wheel sensor or some connection/connector as Hoxxoh mentioned. The F55 system is quite reliable so I wouldn't be concerned that a shock is bad, that would be rare. Please let us know what happens.
I will look into the connections first. i just had some work done on the stall and maybe a connection is loose. Also have tires that need to be replaced and with the addition of a 3200 stall traction is a bit of an issue even into third. I will report back if i can determine cause.

Shoulda mentioned that first.
Check both electrical connectors on the top of the shocks. They're hard to get to and are easily cracked/broken or just not secured. Be careful when you drop the suspension, because that's how they get broken. Go slow and easy.
