I left my hood cracked a bit the other night and ran my battery dead, so today I changed it with a fresh one I have on standby and NO OIL PRESSURE!! DIC reads Oil Pressure XXX and the needle gauge is also dead. Is the sensor bad or do I go load the gun.... hahaha I changed my streaked underwear and checked it, had a loose connection. NM

You're probably fine as what you really need to be concerned about is when it shows a number but it's a low one.
Im having the same issue. it will actually bounce from low pressure to all the way up. shows XXX. thinking sensor needs to be replaced. if i just put aux on, it will go all the way to high when not running. question for Vettedebt79 -- which connection was loose? was it the plug for the oil pressure sensor?
You need to check the senser connection. I had a sporadic issue like this a few years ago and the connection was bad. XXX means no oil pressure or no senser reading.
