Default LS2 Dyno Results

Just got my car back yesterday from a cam / LT header / tune install. Here's the SAE dyno results on a Dynojet 248E. Seem about right to everyone? I didn't get a 'before' dyno, unfortunately.
See sig for mods.

It would be easier to copy/paste your mods here in the thread, just an idea to save time-

A 224/228 is a pretty small cam and you're still running the LS2 intake, seems about right to me.

It would have been about 345hp stock so that is a decent increase.

Not bad.

Did you get an underdrive pulley installed at the same time?

Sig should be just below the dyno image.

Sounds right.

A FAST 92 would really boost torque and HP with no adverse affects.

In your opinion, did I gain anything with the ported stock IM?
What would you expect I could gain with the FAST 92/102?

Without an underdrive pulley I'd say your numbers are just fine.

With the pulley you would've been over 430rwhp, and that's not bad for a pretty mild cam and stock ported intake.

I don't think you'd pick up much peak power with the FAST intake, but you'd probably pick up a lot in the midrange.

On my car, I got about 15 rwhp when I ported the stock intake. I gained another 15+ rwhp over that when I put on a ported FAST 92. You'll see a big gain in both torque under the curve and peak HP with the FAST. The stock LS2 intake manifolds don't seem to do very well when you start putting on mods like you and me.

It's very well-mannered at low speeds, no surging, etc. I let the clutch out from a complete stop with no throttle applied, and it smoothly took off just like stock.

The idle is intermittently fairly choppy, and surprisingly I do get a little side-to-side rocking (also intermittent). The rocking is annoying, so I hope I can get it tuned out somehow.

At 3K and up in the RPM range, it absolutely screams.

I bet your idle can be improved.

What is your idle RPM? Going to 750 - 800 rpm will do wonders. With my small cam, my idle is rock steady at 675 rpm. I sure if you have it bumped up a little it will be much improved.

Also, if your idle over/under speed spark tables are too aggressive, the idle can get into a rhythmic up/down cycle. I call it chasing its tail. On a small cam like this, you can back down the spark over/under speed tables in the lower rpm cells because its ok for it to wonder a little. Also, you can hit it harder (more timing) on the under speed table but not so hard on the over speed. This should keep it from going up/down in a rhythmic cycle.

For comparison my car has TS Lt's OR xpipe, SLP LM2 over the axle, Halltech cai, and Fow Tech cam 228/232 .600/.600 112. My numbers (Dynojet) corrected where 420/394. So it looks like we are in the norm.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll probably need someone's help if I'm going to go into the spark / speed tables and mess with their tune. I don't wanna screw anything up and am a complete novice about tuning.

I'm not sure what the idle RPM is, it does seem to vary a bit. I have HPTuners, so I'll connect the laptop this weekend and see what the setpoint is. Stay tuned.
