Hello
Newer Guy to forum.I am planing to install ARH headers on my corvette and understand from others posts that this will cause the car to run rich.Well the shop I'm going to , to have it tuned afterwards is 35 miles away.Is the car running rich going to lead to Bore Wash in the cylinders which might be bad for the rings etc. or will it be alright for the 35 miles if I take it easy ?thankyou...
Actually it might make it run lean instead of rich. But in any case, you'll be fine. A tune will maximize the power your headers can give. If anything, you might end up throwing lean codes (or inefficient cats if you're going catless).
Bottom line, install the headers and don't worry about it. You won't hurt anything. Just drive it up there and get it tuned.
TIP: Don't forget to remove the spark plugs first or you'll risk cracking a plug.
