Default engine idle speed
What is the normal engine idle speed for a 08 c6 auto? mine is at 500-550 rpm, its seems a little low to me. I'm afraid it's going to die when I pull up to a stoplight.

That sounds about like mine (2009 A6).
Has never died at a light.

2006 here 500 rpm when in gear about 550 in neutral

525-550 RPM is correct. My '08 Z51 A6 has always been at that RPM at idle since new.

Same as our 2008 LS3 with NPP. Idles slightly faster with NPP open.
No issues.
