And by vaporware, he means they have been available for some time now, but you rarely hear about them, and even see them less.
I've been reading the corvette forum for about 10 years now and I've heard of these 4 valve heads in many threads. But in all that time, I have NEVER seen anyone claim to use them or even claim to have any experience with it first hand, second hand, your brother's wife's cousin's uncles hand, or otherwise.
What brought my interest to the ARAO heads is the fact if flows better than 2 valve per cylinder heads, even the Arias. Although the Arias is listed as a hemi head it is only 2 valves per cylinder where the ARAO is 4 valves and hemi layout as well.
It's a HP boost doing nothing more than replacing the heads, unless a tune is needed to adjust the fuel/air requirements. They are pricey but seem to offer more expandability than any other head I've seen. The Arias seems to require their custom intakes where the ARAO seems to use the standard LS intake until you get into their all out top of the line head which requires a custom intake.
The LSX version is new and I'm just looking for any possible first hand knowledge of the product.
for what they cost, check out forced induction. fi may be cheaper in the long run..............
But think about what might be possible with FI with the heads. Kind of makes you wonder. I know that other mods would be needed to withstand the extra horses but just exploring the possibilities.
The guy has numerous lawsuits against him for taking money and not delivering product from what I understand.
We don't need more airflow, we need to utilize what we have better....
We already have 400 cfm heads for a small block, you can't use all that on a street motor.
As far as FI goes. They are already making well over 2k HP on the full race builds. The heads are not the restriction, look at the heads available for a sbf. We just need to keep learning to tune the motors better.
We have a 14 year old platform, compared to 40++ years for the sbf, sbc, and bbc...
We are gaining fast but it is still a steep curve...

The ARAO is not a hemi, it's referred to as a pent-roof or cloverleaf combustion chamber. The Arias head has a version available with "quench pads" which means it's not a true hemi. A pent-roof combustion chamber is the most efficient for the combustion event while a hemi is one of the most inefficient.
