Uh, the OP asked about tire pressure. He didn't ask about any opinions on runflats.

And by the way... as everyone on the forum preaches, the difference in ride quality and especially nosie reduction is nothing short of spectacular.
Oh... and thanks for the replies on the actual topic
I'm going to drop the pressure down to the recommended 30.
I've run my PS2s at 30 for the heck of it this year because that is where they were after storage. I've noticed a slight lag on hard turn in and and not as much bite through hard sweeps. I took them back to 36 and noticed an improvement, albeit less traction on hard acceleration. I spoke with some racing teams at Carlisle last year who were running PS2s on their vettes sitting in the tents and they also ran 35-36 psi. Not sure if that means anything, just passing on the info.
I purchased a set of Pirelli's for my suburban a while back. Emailed them to ask the same question about air pressure. I was told the tire manufacturer does NOT set the tire pressure. It is set my the car manufaturer. Which is determined by weight, estimated speed it's rated for ect..
And I in no way dispute any test that have been done.
However, I had the Goodyear's on my 08 C-6, and were in very good condition.
The main reason I changed before they were worn out was rain.
This is my DD, and if it rains, it was like driving on ice.
Matter of fact, one of my fellow employes's wife drove a Vette for a DD.
One day her husband drove to work while it was raining.
He walked in saying "Holy cocka, I was sliding all over the road".
Next week she was driving a new Lincon.
I put the PS2 AS tires on, told Discount Tire to set them aside, and I would come back and pick them up in my truck.
Three or four days later, I called and told them to throw them away.
Now I can drive without a white knuckle grip of it darting one way or another from some little groove in the road.
And YES they are a LOT quieter.
I didn't measure any db's, but I can tell they are quieter, and that's all that matters to me.
My 2 cents.
