Found unconnected wire ?

Found unconnected wire ?
Have my 2005 C6 MN6 3 weeks, all is good. Changed out the air filters tonight and noticed a wire connector laying there near the right front fender just to the right of the air filter on the right side. It was a 2 prong small connector. I noticed that there was a matching mating connector mid way down on the right side of the radiator and plugged it in. everything seems to be running right and no codes but just wondering what it was for, maybe temp from the front ?
Any ideas.? looked like it might have been disconnected for a while, slight discoloration on the mating pin.
