Just got the Laser Interceptor (LIDAR) jammers installed yesterday. The rear was really easy to do with the lights coming off so easily. Took a little over 2 hours to install. If you have any questions let me know.
Question: Do have a friend with a laser gun (or multiple brands of guns) so you can let us all know how well the product works in various senarios?
I for one am interested as there as been a few threads on this forum about laser jammers, yet no testing by Corvette forum members (that I have read) who I would believe more than the Sons of Lidar site.

I will be participating in the East Coast Countermeasure testing group the next time they meet. I can't make their May 1st meet unfortunately.
For now you can check out this cool video where they shoot a ZO6 with Laser Interceptors with up to 2 guns at once.
I own a LTI Tru-speed laser lidar unit and have tested the LI units. All I can say is that they work very well. Maybe not against two different guns, but I doubt one would ever encounter such a event on the street where you would have two guys shooting lidar on the same target.

Eric, do you have some additional pics of the rear install, do they protrude beyond the rear fascia where they are mounted. It doesn't appear that you used the LI sensor brackets to mount the rear sensors.
I'm reviving this old thread because despite my best googling efforts, it seems you are the only one with photos of a LI install on a C6-Corvette So, about a year later, how about an update on the success or failures of your installation and results..
So what do the cops do when they see that they are being jammed? Stop you anyway and check? And if a cop is behind you at a light he can tell and then will he stop you then to? Im assuming they are illegal?

Thanks!!
Well things have been going pretty well. I have updated the firmware on the CPU to the newest version. Also included in the update was new voices that are easier to understand.
The LI has gone off for me about a dozen times. I have not gotten any tickets since the install. I actually sped past a cop hiding on the side of the highway; the LI went off and i immediately hit the brakes. That save was 100% for sure. I don't usually switch it off after i slow down because it always scares the **** out of me.
Other than that the LI has gone off mostly when i'm going slow for some reason. I laugh when i'm going 30 and i get hit with laser.
Lastly, i don't really know if it was worth it to do the rear install. It's peace of mind and i would probably do it the same again. Oh, and the LI new got a hardware update which delivers higher power and shielded cables and whatnot. Hopefully i won't need to upgrade for a while.

The LI is not supposed to produce a jamming signal on the laser gun. As long as you keep it updated that should really never happen. If you are paranoid you can switch it off after you slow down.
I seriously doubt that cops are looking for LI installs. Not even .01% of people have them so it's pretty uncommon.
Lastly, it's supposedly not illegal in NY. Check the map

well Im in TX so Im illegal. But if the cops cant get a reading from you then they would know they are being jammed and would stop you anyway, I would think. Also what if youre in a group of speeders will your jammer jam for them too?
Those are good articles. I just think it's a bad idea to put a coating on your headlights. There could be the possibility of reducing the light emitted from the lights and that's not a good thing. To see and be seen especially at night is key.
