Default Dyno Results Finally

Shop just called to say they were done on the dyno. She netted 451RWHP on a Dynojet and was just over 400 ft. lbs torque. I was hoping for the 460-470 range but overall I realize the x-tra $2k I decided not to spend is what most likely kept me from the higher numbers. Once I have the graph I'll post...

2007 M6 Z51 Vert
Kooks 1 3/4" headers w/catted x-pipe
Blackwing CAI
Livernois ported 243's
Spin's 230xfi cam
Katech chain
SLP 25% UD
Peak speed ported IM and TB

The dyno's just for tuning...get it to a track and see what she'll REALLY do

450rwhp is certainly enough to run 10s in the proper setup and the right hands...and 10s are fast no matter how you slice it

I've gotten 450rwhp more than once with stock-unported 243 heads and a ported FAST.

I'll second that.

The stock LS2 intake whether ported or not has been shown to be a restriction. My car with a smaller "sleeper" cam made 427 rwhp with the a ported LS2 intake and 443 rwhp with the ported FAST 92. Yours would probably have a bigger increase.

Save up your nickles and dimes for the FAST 102 intake manifold. You won't need it ported.

Alright, have the graph but this site won't allow me to post it. It looks strange to me to be perfectly honest...Anyone on here care to post it for me as I'd like to get some feedback.

Here it is:

Note that the torque and horsepower data is displayed are on different scales.

The torque dip between 2500-3500 is normal on all LS engines I've seen. Something to do with intake/exhaust flow out of sync. I've witnessed dyno runs where the engines run very rough in this RPM range so some cylinders are not getting the intake charge they normally would.

Thanks for posting this Tom AND the feedback you provided. I was unaware of the "normal" LS dip and had concerns. Thanks for putting that to rest for me. It's a FAST 102 in the near future...

Your reading the wrong scale. It is 450 hp, look at the hp scale (left scale), not the tq scale.

THANKS !!!-----my dynojet chart showed HP & TQ same # on both sides--I got 420 rwhp & 400# TQ---from a 2007--A6--with kooks--220/224 -112 lsa cam--CAI---A.I. cnc'd 243 heads --those heads were beautiful after they got done with them, but only produced 24 more rwhp ?? my #'s seem low compared too everybody else ??-----From stock to the end, I gained---exactly 100 more RWHP & TQ---same dyno--I see many HIGH dyno sheets on this site !!??? I like this site, I gained much info---appreciate all who contribute !!!

Your car looks and sounds great!

We feel the car made good power for the mods. We've never had a cam only car (unless the cam was huge) make near that much power on this dyno. The numbers were similar to what we see from our stage 2/stage 2 package, however I think the drivability with our camshaft is better.

We have a few dyno stacks and have them calibrated multiple times per year to ensure the dyno results are as accurate as possible.

Our tuner said the camshaft lobes are from 2 different series of camshafts and he doesn't recommend that.
