Default Oil Cooler

Here is the deal. I am working with a major radiator manufacturer on a project to build Corvette performance radiators. The problem is that a Z51 requires that it have fittings for both trans and engine oil lines. The radiators they plan to build will only have the trans cooler fittings. I was thinking of putting a separate engine oil cooler on like Z06, but don't know were it mounts.

Can someone tell me were the Z06 engine oil cooler is mounted?

Thanks!

Thanks! So you have two coolers? The Z06 one and the one that is hanging. I was thinking of installing one like the one you have hanging.

Depends on the year. The 2006-2010 Z06's have the large oil cooler mounted in front of the A/C condenser. The 2011(and I suspect the 2012) Z06 uses the ZR1 heat exchanger that mounts to the side of the oil pan in front of the oil filter and uses engine coolant to cool the oil.

Thanks! I think I will try to talk them into putting the cooler in just like the Z51 radiator to make it simpler.
