Default Edelbrock E-Force installation

Any recommendations where to take a 2010 Grand Sport for an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger intallation in Delaware or nearby?

Your own garage. That kit was designed for the DIY.

Wrong answer Mr. helpful. This ain't changing sparkplugs. My friend just got done and had help from an auto mechanic. Still took 12 hours. I suggest to OP it is wise to get this done professionally.

I installed mine. The crank pinning part is not easy if you do it the way the manual shows. Motorhead47 has posted an alternate way which is much easier. The rest of the install is straightforward and kind of fun. Yes, it takes a lot of time, but anyone decent with a wrench can do it. If you don't want to do it, that is another story. ECS would be a great choice.

I've done "more than a few" in my garage. I never race against the clock but prefer to take my time and do it right. If you are mechanically inclined and have a full set home garage tools then I say it is well within a guy's ability to install this supercharger at home. The Edelbrock instructions that come with the kit are excellent as are the install instructions for the A&A kits I've installed. If you were my neighbor then I'd have you come by and help me with the install and we'd save you a few bucks...Delaware is a haul from Florida though.

But...since the OP is asking where to take it for the install then I'm going to assume he's not the D-I-Y type. I'd recommend he take it to a well known "brick and mortar" shop in his area to have it done. If Chuck "COW" is close as someone mentioned above, then it's an easy choice.

Now thats what I call helpful answer. I'm fairly handy with tools but I wouldn't try it because a screw-up could mean a blown engine. I'm sure the OP will make out OK and probably just doesn't have the time.

Thanks very much!

I can honestly say that I think we've done more E-Force installs than most vendors and got all the bugs worked out....

We love this product! Give us a call and we'll make you up a nice package....

E-FORCE!

thanks guys.

ECS reputation and customer service speaks for itself for any install, but when it comes to superchargers it would be hard to find anyone who has more knowledge than us. All the magazine write ups and all the record breaking FI cars coming out of ECS speaks a lot more than typing some words on the internet.

Hey Chuck, do they have a setup for the Z06 yet? If they do, could you PM an approximate price noting the MODs I already have installed on the car. Thanx!

I vote for doing it yourself! I've done three different types of supercharger installs in my garage, it's not that hard. It's time consuming but wrenching on your own car is fun.

Default Caution

Your starting with a great car and installing a top notch SC.

Be wise and check out each potential vendor by listening to impartial reports from customers about his work over the years.

Chuck CoW has done work on one of my cars. What I can say about Chuck is that he absolutely will not stop until you are 100% satisfied. At least that's how he treated me. I'd trust my stuff to him again in a heartbeat.

I've heard good things about ECS, too. Never had the occasion to use their talents.
