Depends on the shop. My friend did the new Edlebrock on his '09 Z06 for 11k installed. Engine blew on the dyno.

$7995 for the E-force to your door.. installation is more..
Dropping a s/c on a factory engine not built for it is a risk... you should read up on all the pro's and cons of what your thinking about doing.. For the same money I can rebuild your engine to a 403 with ported and polished heads on top and make the same power ... but have it be a heck of a lot more reliable...

You can go big right now and drop a meth kit on there and in the end you still have an engine not built for boost that your getting away with boosting.. its a gamble

how much power are you looking to make is the real question and whats your budget

I read that thread recently, but I'm too lazy to search for it. If my memory serves, and it seldom does, the story went something like this.

The install shop ordered the blower and it was supposed to have around 6 pounds of boost for the particular car (I would guess it was a 7L Z06, due to its 11:1 compression). Upon install, they ran it twice on the dyno, but during the 2nd run the engine blew. The shop discovered that the blower was set at the factory for like 12 pounds of boost (I believe it is related to the pulley diameter). The last word I heard was that everyone was running around trying to figure out whose fault it was. Sum of all fears!

UPDATE: I found the post here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...post1577718935

Should have been 4-5psi for the LS7 if no one changed the pulley that came with the kit. There is tamper proof tape on the end of the pulley snout so it would not be hard to tell.

When all is done, I will report the findings from all parties concerned. We would not want to put the blame on any one person in particular.

The car in question has been repaired with a brand new LS7 from GM at the cost of the owner.

Please do provide the details/findings when it is all sorted out. I'd be interested to know if the supercharger pulley was swapped. Edelbrock sets that kit up to be no more than 5.5psi for the LS7. I don't know how you could even get to 12psi. The LS7 pulley is a 3.25", and there are only two sizes smaller, a 3.00" and a 2.75"...each worth about 1.5psi.

12psi on an LS7 would take a tiny pulley. The 6.0L in my truck with TVS2300 does 11psi with a 3.1" pulley. With 7L's to feed and those monster heads on top, not sure even the 2.75" would lead to 12psi.

...agree. It already takes a 3.25" pulley to make 5.5psi with the LS7.....a long way from 12psi!

As I suggested above...the devil is in the details. There is more to the story than what we have in hand at the moment.

Is that Maggie 1:1 on the back pulleys?

It's a front drive similar to the EForce.

Interesting Stuff, but when the Day Begins . . .

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight,
Magnectic is red and Arctic is white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion?

Pinprick holes in a colourless sky,
Let insipid figures of Cee Sixes pass by,
Brave Helios wake up your steads,
Bring the power of Zee O Sixes the countryside needs.
