Don't know where you will get stronger pins, maybe something from Radio Shack.
If the pin won't insert on the first try, move it to one of the other sides of the square socket.
You are trying to insert into an opening that is already occupied with the mirror's pin, so sometimes the Invisicord pin needs to be tried on different sides to get it fully inserted.
Funny!! I just went through this today. Tried several times to get the pin in. Even used needle nosed pliers to hold it firmly. Then went the route of trying all four corners and bingo, they slipped right in. Hooked up the RD to see if the polarity was right and glory be. IT WORKED.
THEN, trying to mount the blend mount, I popped the mirror off. I will ask in another thread how to remount the mirror.
Get the MirrorTap @ mirrortap.com or buy it from Blendmount @ blendmount.com. Much better than the invisicord and slides right into the connector without hassle. It may look similar, but the Mirrortap is a much better connector. That could be why it costs twice as much too. Make sure you slide it along the side of the connector and not down the middle. It is made to follow along the edge.
