Default Oil Temp sensor question

When changing over to the new oil pan for the dry sump I could'nt put the old oil level/temp sensor back in the new pan. What I should have done was make a bung in the oil tank to install the sensor there. So now I need to get a sensor so I can get an oil temp reading. I don't care about the level, just the temp

So the question is. Does anyone know of an aftermarket oil temp sensor I can tie into one of the easily accessable oil lines that will give a signal that the factory computor can read. I want to be able to read the temp as normal. Hopefully there is a sensor out there that will work so I don't have to take out the tank

well i dont know if you are going to run a factory oil tank out of a Z06 but that has an oil temp sensor in it. If you are not running an oil cooler there is an adapter that will bolt onto the port above the oil filter that you can get from GM. If you are planning on running an aftermarket oil cooler, i know that LPE makes an adapter for the ports above the oil filter and it has a hole for the factory oil temp sensor. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions.
