I am mostly tracking my '06C6Z06 now and considering removal of the factory radio and installing a "close-out" panel to attach my data logger. Any ideas on a source for a panel or materials that will match the adjoining panel containing the controls for the A/C? (It does not have to be a perfect match).
Also, if I remove the radio, is it necessary to terminate any electrical connections or install a speaker for the notification system?

Thanks for your input.

You might want to check with the guys over on the Audio Forum, but I think that the factory radio is what generates the warning tones for the DIC messages, door ajar chimes, etc. Not sure how you would work around that with no radio at all. There's probably a way, though.
