Im planning on installing shocks sways and then a front spring
I searched and then looked up the install on the c5 website
I was wondering if a control arm drop is actually necessary for the front spring...
I would like to keep the alignment as close as possible so I can at least test drive the car at speed and then drive 2 hours to get it to the shop for alignment.
If anyone has any tips/info on installing the shocks or sways as well, I would really appreciate it. I plan to to diy this, so I want to get as much background on it as possible before starting.
For a C6?
My son installed a Johnny O'Conell Suspension package for my C6 and it installed w/o taking anything out, if I recall. Look at Pdfat Engineering website. Really good product for the money and daily driver...
I changed the springs and shocks on my car about a month ago. The instructions on the Pfadt website for changing to coil overs was very helpful (It covers the spring/shock removal process well). I also talked to they guys at Pfadt and they told me that people often spend hours trying to get around removing parts...They said to just go ahead and remove it. I found that I was able to do the back by just removing the upper control arm and tie rod on one side. On the front I had to remove the upper control arm on both sides and the tie rod on one side.
