Default New to me, 1st mods, opinions please.

So I finally made the move to a 06 MN6 and love it so far. Only mods so far are a CAGS and Magnaflow axle back. My plan is to add;

Hurricane CAI
LG SS Headers w/high flow cats
Ported LS2 Intake manifold
Ported/polished 90mm throttle body
Dyno tune

Do you think a gain of 50 rwhp is too much to hope for?

Nice. With all the mods, you should be in the ballpark.

50 isn't too much, i picked up around the same with the ss's, catless, intake exhaust ( doesn't really do much as far as hp ) and an intake. you should easily pass that, DEPENDING on the tune ofcource.

that color is really starting to interest me! take care of it!!

Depends on the dyno. Some are stingier than others.

That is no problem and I have done that many times. I have seen as high as 60 rwhp.

Good mods. I'd toss in a 160 T-stat as part of the package.

I agree, but I don't think you'll get 50.

1st mod should be lowering the car all the way on stock bolts. That wheel gap on the second pic is just begging to be corrected!

Will that effect the ride quality? Not concerned about the scraping so much but don't want it to ride harsh.

Thanks for all the comments.

Don't overlook your stock shifter; replace it with a MGW short shifter. You won't believe the difference. The MGW is precise, the stock is sloppy.

Already bought one, just waiting for it to arrive.
Also waiting on the ported intake and TB.

Yes it will effect ride quality. My car was lowered almost all the way on stock bolts when I bought it. It scraped on most any incline. I had it raised because I couldn't stand the scraping. The by product was the suspension got about twice as compliant. My mechanic said my back would thank me and he was right

Thanks, I loved being a part of the Screaming Eagles, 2 tours to Iraq, now on reserve status. Sorry to hear about your brother.

Yeah I had a C5 lowered and also scraped everywhere, think I'll keep the C6 stock the stock height.

Installed my MGW shifter yesterday, awesome upgrade!!! Local speed shop wanted to charge me $200 to install it. It only took me about an hour to do it, with beer breaks.

Waiting on my ported intake to arrive so I can get the rest done.

Well had the following installed and tuned.
OBX headers
Ported stock intake manifold
P/P stock TB
160 stat
Hurricane CAI
Base Dyno was 356rwhp 346tq
After Tune was 387rwhp 377tq
I'm happy with the gains, I can definately feel the power gain. Thought it'd be a bit more but, I guess the Hurricane CAI gains don't really show without the car moving. My car sounds awesome now although my wife may disagree. Next up is PRC 2.5 ported LS6 heads and a TSP 224R cam on a 112 LSA. Contemplating Yella Terra rockers as well but need to do more reseach to see if they are a good choice.

You should be only scraping the 3-piece black spoiler underneath that is suppose to scrape occasionally. (According to Dave Hill). I've lowered and cut the bushings on both my C6s and haven't damaged anything in 6 years.
