I have a H/C car been running great for 2 years. Today i'm throwing a P0101 code. I replaced the MAF but no change. Checked for vacuum leaks and didn't find any. This is the only code. Any suggestions?
I have not reset the dtc. I have no means of doing so. The check engine light is flashing its not constant. Also it doesn't light up at idle. I will check the map today. Does the dtc need to be reset? The car is running rough.
The Vette needs scanned to see what the problem is. If the check engine light is flashing, you have a misfire. Check the plug wire and coil pack electrical connections. If no problems are found, need to read the DTC's and that might indicate which cylinder is misfiring.
If a cylinder is misfiring, the air flow across the MAF sensor could be erratic. There are tables inside the PCM that correlates the airflow to TPS. If it falls outside of the predetermined range for 4 seconds, the P0101 can result. Since the car was tuned following the H/C, the misfire parameters or DTC's could have been disabled by the tuner. In that case, no codes will be stored. What I would do is get the car scanned and log misfires by cylinder and that should lead you in the right direction.
Another quick and easy way to check for spark is using a timing light. Let the car idle, connect the timing light to the plug wire and the timing light should flash. Do this for each cylinder.

Thanks.
Flashing CEL different ball game ....Follow Brian@rpt diagnostic procedure...as stated the tuner may have masked codes that may be the culprit here! could even be mechanical(internal to the engine ie valve, spring etc.)
Alright checked each plug wire and all were flashing with the timing light. Not sure what to check now. My tuner is about an hour away. So I'm trying what I can before I have to have it towed. Thanks for the help.
