I used a Katech C5R timing chain as well. In my research I thought I read somewhere that Corvette racing has never broken this chain in the history of their racing program. If it lives up to the abuse they put those cars through, I'm sure it will work for a street car application.
Yes, but instead of LS2 heads, I used the L92 heads which are the same as the LS3 heads. They are a bargain and work great on the LS2.
A friend at GM performance told me that stock LS3 heads are better than good LS2 heads and that the LS2 intake really sucks, so LS3 heads with a FAST intake are the hot setup.
