2005 with A/T need help
I have a 2005 vette with an automatic transmission and I have been having troubles lately getting it out of park.
I did some research and everything seemed to point to either the sensor on the shifter or the brake petal sensor. Well I have installed both parts now with no success, but after taking everything apart again I noticed that the shifter cable that attaches to the shifter and transmission has a couple of bad kinks in it (I probably did it when removing the shifter).
I have now ordered the cable but am thinking that the transmission has to be removed in order to change the cable......has anybody ever had to change the cable or have any pointers?
We only have 1 chevy dealer in town and they are brutal to deal with, i can't even drop off one of our company trucks for warranty work with out it coming back with scratches and grease all over it.....definitely don't want them working on the vette.
