Airbag Warning?

I just noticed that the passenger airbag warning light will not deactivate when a passenger is seated in my car...is there a way to manually turn it on/off; or is it auto?

(C6 2008 w/z51)

There is a sensor in the bottom seat cushion.

It's automatic - no way to manually turn it on or off in a 2008 C6. You could in a 2005 C6.
