my c6 a/c compressor clicks on and it still blows hot air ..when i have both temps on 60 degrees, driver side blows fan temp air and the pass blows hot air..sometimes they both blow hot air...then there are times where if i cut it on it would start to blow cold and after a while it fades back in to warm..what the hell is goin on....,its driving me

Is the A/C hose at the firewall icy cold to the touch, or merely cool?

You're probably low on refrigerant. If so, it's easy enough to replace, but you'll want to make sure that the root cause isn't a big leak. A small leak at the compressor (that takes years to notice) is normal.

05's had a slight overcharge from the factory. Dealers adjusted refrigerant charge.

R134a can run hot when overcharged...R12 would run colder if overcharged. If the problem happens when it is very hot outside, my bet is that the system is slightly overcharged.

Have you been seeing other weird characters on the HVAC console? If it starts doing that, the console unit needs replacing. That happened to me a few years ago and the parts guy at the dealer said they'd been changing them right and left under warranty.

You don't hear about it as much any more. Perhaps the supplier fixed whatever was wrong with the part.

Sounds like the triple valve is freezing up. Then it defrosts and works for a while again.

Dryer might be bad or too much refrigerant as stated above.

I had the same problem last summer, my fix was to change the ambient temp. sensor because my outside temp. on the console would read way higher than it was outside ,one day it was 88 outside my temp reading was 110 when it would do that it would blow hot air. I changed that and t-stat witch I already put in the 160 but changed it again. I'm not a fan of dexcool antifreeze there has been a lot of issues for GM over its use, I never heard if it effects the newer Vettes or not. I hav'nt had an issue with it since doing that.
