Default Removing Gauge Cluster / Ignition Wire Question

I'm installing a K40 built in radar / laser jammer this week and curious as to how to remove the gauge cluster and panel surrounding it, and how does one remove the plexi from in front of the physical gauges so I can mount the LEDs in the cluster.

Also, I looked up the ignition wire to turn the system on, and I've found that it is the pink wire at the BCM in the passenger footwell. Just wondering if I should use that, or the accessory wire at the BCM instead? Just don't want to set off any airbags etc.
