Easiest thing to do first is check the fuse for it......#13 (25 amp) in the engine compartment. If that checks out then you're probably looking at a new solenoid. I don't know the diagnostic path or codes (if any) to check first. Seems most just replace it but I'm sure others will chime in with more details.
Rick, you called it, I had a blown fuse. No idea why.
I also got a code, P0449, "Evap Emission System -- vent valve/solenoid circuit," which I reset. Perhaps these two problems are related, at least via the fuse.
Now...back to burnin' gas (which I'll be burning at an even more satisfying rate when DP installs a Procharger with alky and cam this week!).
You may find this hard to believe, but I changed my trans oil to RedLine and I can not not begin to tell you how much better it shifts with that change. Worth thinking about now that you have the solenoid issue behind you.
I sell batteries, not oil, so I have nothing to gain by recommending it.
