That pretty much says it all. I have both and use the Painted Top from the middle of June till the beginning of September. I use the transparent top in the Spring and Fall. It's like having two different Vettes, it really changes the look of the Vette.

Glass Top
If you can find a excellent condition top, buy it. I found one on Craigslist for $400.00 that I offered $350.00 and got it. Been rotating tops per my moods. Mostly glass because of the open feeling without all of the road dust. Worth every penny... JMHO 
PS I have a LMB also, and car looks good with same color top or with black tinted top...

I believe all of the C6 tops interchange. Confirm with a Chevrolet dealer to be sure. Buy the transparent top. You will love it. It does get somewhat hotter being here in Texas. My wife's DD sits outside at work so we have the painted top on now during this heat wave. We put the transparent top on for weekend cruising.

I have both tops don't like the noise, too much heat radiates into the interior with the clear, have victory red and love the look of the solid color, another look that's sharp is the glass roof w/ a Black halo, I always wanted to try that look, it really makes the car look different, but I would have to have two halos, a black and a red not sure how hard to change halo.
