Default Z06 rear diff questions

When installing the Z06 diff in a C6 / A6, do you just loop the cooling lines with a rubber hose? If I wanted to run a cooler can I just use a standard trans cooler. If so where do you mount this cooler?

On the Z06 the cooler mounts on to the driver's side rear of the side cover. The back side of the cooler has a fitting that goes directly into the side cover. The cooler line comes from the bottom of the diff to the pump (mounted to the rear cover) and goes into the cooler. Just remember that the cooler has 2 sides (one for the diff and the other for the TR6060 trans). You will not need the trans cooler side.

The pictures has the diff cooler lines all connected. The 2 fittings are for the TR6060 transmission which you will not need.

No it does work, not a very complicated or difficult install either, just need a new mount I believe.

It can but it involves a little more work and some additional parts.

That, and the mounting points need to be addressed too I think.

This is what you will need for the TR6060/C6 Z06 conversion for the C5.
