I have one. Much better and bigger core than the stocker. A must for any forced induction car IMHO.

I agree it's a better and bigger core than stock. Nice addition but not a must-have in my opinion. I have FI and have no problems with cooling here in the Northeast even when temperatures hit 100 degrees in July and stuck in traffic. I have a 160* thermostat and my temperatures are at 178* to 182* normally. I've hit 209* as a max when stuck in traffic on very hot day (100*) doesn't happen often here.

I used to run normally around 198* to a max of 225* with the stock thermostat and no FI, completely stock. Maybe the situation is different farther south. Dewitts makes a great product, I have a lot of friends who have them but at this time, I don't see the need for me. If and when I do see a need, it will certainly be a Dewitts.

Bought mine last week and it should be installed this week. I am also getting an external oil cooler and the radiator is down to just the TOC so it should be a bit more efficient as well!

Can't wait to see how it runs and it looks like i picked an excellent product. I knew from reputation, but that process is quite impressive. Good to see proper craftsmanship on something going in my vette.

I know from the C3 forums, DeWitt has excellent customer responses. For a C3 radiator, he's a vendor who has an excellent reputation for quality and service. (And in the C3 world, his radiators have a stock appearance) I have 2 C3's so I monitor that forum frequently. Also have a C6 08, that's why I'm here.

When I was looking I also called Ron Davis about their radiators and they did nothing but run down the Dewitts radiator. After the phone all I picked up the phone and bought a Dewitts radiator, this was about 3 weeks ago. I have never liked companies that trash talk others, if your product is good you do not need to put down the competition

What type of oil fooler do you reccomend for use with an '08 Z51? Is it more efficent to use an external cooler? Or an internal cooler?

Thanks for the help.

You will remove more heat with the air type (stock) because it uses ambient air and not 200 degree water, and the internal cooler is small and must fit inside the end tank.

Our shop is in one of the horttest parts of the US. We've been exclusively selling/installing Dewitts radiators since our inception, and will continue to do so until they stop producing radiators.

We've had every brand run through our shop, and we have never seen anywhere near the consistancy in any other radiator except the Dewitts.

Thanks. Do you offer an external oil cooler for the '08 Z-51 (or Z06)? I didn't find one on your site.

Thanks,
Charley

We don't (yet) offer anything but you could just use a stock one. Someone on here had a custom one (thicker) made up that mounted in the stock location and we could do that if people wanted it

I have been using DeWitts in my shop since I opened and have never had to return a radiator yet. I also use their radiators in my personal Corvettes

You have an external cooler on a Z51 if it is an M6. Some members have upgraded to the Z06 cooler when more cooling was needed and there some good threads on installing it if that is an option for you.
