I have full bolt-on LS2--C6----Kooks headers & X-pipe w/out catalytic converters -- At Carlisle, I had Corsa sport mufflers installed--but on start up--& partial throttle--it's alittle too noisy--raspy--Corsa said if i had the X pipe with the catalytic c.---it would be much milder sound---well a Kooks X pipe is --$900---is there anybody with a better idea or has a Kooks X pipe w/catalytic for sale----mine is a 2007---THANKS for any advice---Corsa makes a nice product, I do NOT have any highway drone------

Yeah I always tell people that as well, if you're going to go with an off road X-pipe then keep your stock cat back on or use only a very mild/well muffled aftermarket system. Or if you already have an aggressive cat back system then go for the catted X-pipe. But doing both (off road X and aggressive mufflers) simply isn't for everybody.

get a couple magnaflow cats and weld them in. Shouldn't take a decent muffler shop more than 1.5 hours to drop the x-pipe, weld them in and put it back together. Will probably cost you around 300 bucks total for parts and labor.
Don't expect a large decrease in sound though. A buddy of mine did the same thing with the same setup (kooks and Corsa) and didn't think it changed very much.
The other solution if you are interested in just sound reduction is to put in Dynomax race bullets or similar brand. Cheaper than cats and they will reduce some of the rasp.
