ran 10.90@123.11 1.47 60' previous best was 10.94@123. Made 5 runs and worst 60' was 1.49 the car just jumps off the line even with only 3.42 gears. Couldn't be happier with the yank converter and I know it will still go faster. I see a 1.45 60' in the horizon.

Rag, I don't think I'm gonna do anything else to it except drive it. A few more runs and I know it will go 10.8s I still have the stock thermostat, stock pulleys, and eve the stock rippled coupler from the maf to the TB. Also still running cats. I haven't lightened AT ALL. Maybe next time out I will pump up my front tires to about 40 and see if the rolling resistance is less. Has anyone ever removed the filter from their vararam at the track to see if there is an improvement? I was tempted to try to make it in the 10.8s but wasn't sure if it might fall off and I was sooooo close.
Excellent results given what simple options you have for improvement.
I haven't removed the filter on my Vararam, but on the F-body doing the pantyhose mod on an aftermarket airbox produced no more than a questionable .01 - .02 at best. To me the risk/return ratio of pulling the filter on a bottom feeder intake is not worth it.
I have it in my sig but it doesnt seem to show up
05 A4 power top vert
l92/l76 combo slightly lower than stock compression
custom grind cam 231/240 617/613 114+2
LG LTs hi flo cats z06 muffs
LS7 injectors
vararam
yank 4000
3.42 c5 diff ( I did a 3 point mount using the stock c6 side covers and the c5 rear mount)
I am still running the stock thermostat, rippled coupler, and drive pulley.
When the car leaves there is absolutely NO drama! It just goes straight and pulls like mad. Im still trying to figure out why it seems to run a low trap speed but Im thrilled with the 60' times
I ran 10.94@123.00 with a da of 2230 and I ran the 10.90@123.11 when the da was about 1800. so far Ive run 10.98 10.97 10.96 10.94 10.92 and 10.90 in many different da. mph on all those has varied from 122.3 to 123.11. for what ever reason it doesnt seem to respond to good or bad air. Not sure if thats a function of the tune or what.... Anyone know??

Some really great passes there with consistancy too.
Your differences in DA are not significant enough to warrant any more varations in ET than you already show. You'll need a 750-850' DA difference to see a tenth.
Got a new best last night. Ran 10.81@ 124.08 1.450 60' 6.85 in the eigth. I leaned it out to afr about 12.8 in high gear and got my shift down to about 6500. Launched about 2800 for the first time and got that great 60'. Im sure now that there is a 1.43 60 in it!!!
Congrats that is moving out! Throw some skinnies on, take out the passenger seat and pull the filter for another couple tenths and mph, just be sure the AFR stays in check.
