I have been looking for the source of what I would call a creaking noise in the rear of the car. After crawling under there several times I still could not locate the source. After searching here for quite awhile I decided to check the sway bar links. I disconnected the rear links and tied them to the "A" arm. Went for a short ride. All the noise was gone from the rear but had a little rattle from one of the fronts. I would have bet $50 that the noise was not coming from metallic parts. After doing a little more reading I find out the ball is steel riding in aluminum. No steel bushing. Poor design! I removed all four. Each one had one end that was rough when I rotated the shaft. Greased all four and reinstalled. Quiet as a church mouse. If there ever was a part that needed to be made of steel with cert fittings these are it. I don't expect this fix to last so I am going to build some using industrial ball links. Later! Frank
Thanks for the link. I can buy everything in that kit for under $75 at McMaster-Carr. All four ball ends with certs. Later! Frank
Yeah, I'm sure they'll be exactly the same.
LG doesn't race Corvettes to obtain real-world data to help develop their products. They buy all their parts at McMaster-Carr and then mark them up to rip-off the Corvette faithful.
I bought my longtubes at McMaster-Carr for less than $200 with the high-flow cats! I'm guessing LG will file bankruptcy soon.

No, they are not the same. I am looking at an all steel unit with a zert fitting. Don't know if LG buys from McMaster-Carr but they do from someone just like them. Evidently you are not an ME or you would not have posted such a sarcastic response. My post was solely to help other members. I hope I have. Later! Frank

If you don't mind, post the specs/sizes of what you are going to order. I think I want to order one complete and compare to the ones I bought from pfadt.

While I love McMaster for those hard to find bolts, especially if I don't feel like doing the safety wire drilling, we do not get the links and spacers through them.
Those are all through a racing parts supplier to us, in fact I haven't seen heim joints from McMaster that meet those criteria.

Anthony,
The OP is an ME looking for high-quality "zert" fittings. Surely he can't be wrong.
