Default Brake Upgrade

I have a 2008 C6 ZHZ with the LS3 motor I am going to Watkins Glen and running it several times a year. I went to Carbo Tech ceramic pads which are better but want to upgrade the entire braking system on the car to at least Z06 capabilities. What is a good and reasonably priced after market kit?

Thanks

Z06 brakes are not the upgrade choice that most use unless it is for looks.

Brembo's are high prices, StopTechs require new wheels so I went with Wilwoods and am very happy with them. I only run Road America and am not familiar with the track you run from a demand on the brakes perspective.

Thanks! Watkins Glen is a very demanding road course and tough on brakes. I will look into the Wildwood system.

Awesome color on your Vette! My ZHZ is velocity yellow with center black racing stripe. They are real head turners.

Go with the smallest wheels that will accomodate the largest rotors you'll need. If you want to keep your stock wheels, your options are limited.

I agree with timid38 that Z06 brakes are not the way to go for a car seeing track time. Sometimes spending more on a BBK will actually save you money in the long run.

PM me if you want.

Doesn't a Wilwood upgrade require some sort of spacer to remove interference between the caliper & wheel(s)?
What is that fifth stud in the first picture?

Small spacer on the front, but I did not need any on the rear.

The 5th stud is a lug nut to hold the rotor on.

The Wilwood WA6 caliper is very nice. I used them as an upgrade for the front calipers on my 08Z. Whatever you chose try and get a caliper that uses the same pad style front and rear.
