Default Problems, rear dif hopping

I had some clunking and rear end grinding when turning slowly. Today I changed the rear dif fluid and transmission fluid. I have 40k and done several hpde on a 2007 base. While doing the figure 8 noticed more noise and rear end hopping. Seems to be getting worst only happen on slow turns. Any ideas? Could it be an axle problem at a loss

Hmm, I had mine switched out to the new GM LS diff lube and it fixed all my rear end sounds. I will look up the part number you provided to compare.

Just performed a quick search, GM DEXRON LS part # 88862624 is the correct diff fluid for the corvette.

The u joint is actually a + shape about the size of the palm of your hand. The ends of the u joints are able to rotate arounds it's center point. If they r broken you'll see a crack all the way around that joint.

This is a u joint.

The shiny heads on all four points might be broken. You might be able to see them if u remove the wheel and drop the suspension full stretch, but most likey you would need to remove the half shaft to see them

That fluid is outdated. It should be superceeded with 88862624. Did you add the additive? If not, that could be the culprit.

No they did not give me an additive what does it look like. I will go back to the dealer and discuss this with them. Do you know when the fluid was replaced?

Part number is 1032358. I think they changed the fluid in late 2007 to early 2008.

One bottle should be sufficient.
