Default Skip Shift Installed - no light!

Installed the Skip Shift that I bought from the forum store. Pretty smooth in install - but with my limited experience- glad I have a lift or I dont know that I could have done it..

Anyways. I was under the assumption that the 1-4 light would still come on but it would not "mean" anything...

Light hasnt been on since I guess that's a good thing, yes??

2009 Coupe by the way..

The light will still come on when your car attributes are in the range indicated below from the owner's manual. You just haven't been in those ranges yet.

This light comes on when:
• The engine coolant temperature is higher than
169°F (76°C),
• The vehicle is going 15 to 19 mph
(24 to 31 km/h) and
• The vehicle 21 percent throttle or less.

Yaeh that's weird. I can't get it to come on! I actually took it off - drove it and it was the way it was. Plugged it back in again and rode all around in 1st gear trying to get it to come on but it wont.

Not complaining, just thought it was odd

I went from the blown smart fuse to the conventional resistor at the tranny. On my first test drive I accelerated the same way 3 times once warmed up trying to get the light to come on and the light only came on once. The light will definately still come on, it just doesn't come on as much as it used to years ago (with or without the skip shift eliminator). The car is not as quick to turn the light on compared to previous years and/or cars.

Get a tune and it won't come on at all.
