Default Hard launch issues

I have a 2008 Coupe z-51 with a manual transmission. 18k miles

Twice today when I did a fast launch off the line the clutch didnt come all the way up and it felt like the gas pedal was stuck for a split second.

Also there seems to be intermittent times when the car is hard to shift into second.

Anyone know whats going on?

Thanks
Jason

Check clutch fluid and change it if it's black or brown using the Ranger method (check DIY posts).

I checked the clutch fluid, not only is it black but it is also way below the MIN level.

So Im guessing there's a leak somewhere???? I have not seen any puddles on the garage floor.

I just watched the video. Thank you for suggesting it. The video was well done and clearly explained what was wrong with my car.

Very much appreciated.

Happy to help.
A low level may only indicate clutch wear and further slave travel, such as occurs in disk brakes as wear causes the wheel cylinder piston to move furher out and master cylinder fluid level changes. I'd fill it to the proper level with clean fluid and then monitor it for a few weeks. If the slave is leaking it will be evident by a decrease in level.
