I have an 06 ls2 with 23000 miles. I purchased this car last year with 2896 miles on it. I would like your opinions about putting on a procharger complete kit. Callaway told me they wouldn't put one on because it has too many miles. How much boost should I run for stock motor and automatic transmission and would I need to upgrade either. I am thinking about the HO complete kit with the intercooler.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

You can probably run up to 8 or 9 pounds safely on the bone stock motor as long as it's tuned properly/perfectly. Upgrading at least the valve springs from 23+k mile stock ones is probably a good idea.
The trans is another matter, it will live as long as you don't jump on it/get into boost constantly. If you're looking to race the car or even make some big power and attempt to use if often then that 6 speed automatic (6L80) trans will eventually give up.

Default ls2 procharger upgrade

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. What would you recommend I do to the tranny. I am not going to race it but do like to get on it now and then. I like to take it to the mountains and road race out of the curves etc. Most of my time however is just cruising and enjoying my car. I have a friend who can't beat me with his '11 ss but he is going to supercharge his and I can't have him beating me.

Thanks,

Bill
