Window Problems
I searched and found info about indexing but that isn't the problem with my window. Yesterday the driver side window randomly stopped 3" short of going all the way. Passenger window works just fine. Driver side will roll down perfect but has trouble going up. When I try to roll it up, it will go up like an inch. If I help it with my hands, I have gotten it back up still the 3" short from fully close. When I try to roll window up I hear some cracking and then it just stops doing anything. I'm assuming it is the window motor or regulator that is broken. New ones are crazy expensive ($350-$380) but some guy on ebay up north will fix it for $140. Not sure if I trust the fix or not. Also I would love to remove it myself since I have all the crap off the door but just not sure how to get it unattached from the glass. Also curious if the C5 and C6 window motors/regulators are the same. Any advice would be helpful.
