I ordered the Pfadt JOC shock/sway package along with their motor/trans mounts. I'm having second thoughts of putting them on a daily driver. My car is still under warranty I can just get the motor mounts replaced if they leak.
I have their motor mounts and they are great in my car. I have a 07 Z06 with a forged LS7 with an modified TVS2300 making 14 PSI of boost. They work fine in my car and does not transmit any extra drivetrain noise or vibrations. I have installed their transmission mounts and have had mixed reviews from the guys that has them on their daily drivers. The track guys are not a problem but for a daily driver the main complaint is the extra noise and a bit of vibration.
i have both on my car and i do a lot of street cruisning in it, they dont bother me one bit. i dont seem to get any noise ( my car still has stock mufflers and stock cam) form them at all, i do seem to get the slightest bit of vibration but you probably wouldnt notice it if you just got im my car.
Our engine and trans mounts were designed to reduce power train shake while under hard acceleration which can lead to destructive wheel hop. The car will feel much more responsive to throttle inputs and definitely feel more solid while on the road. Keep in mind that we can't test for every header/exhaust/cam combination that's available for these cars, but in our testing with the stock components on our own C6Z there was little effect on daily driveability. That being said they definitely are a performance oriented modification and can increase Noise/Vibration/Harshness.
Unfortunately this is one of those catch 22 situations as you can't have the performance and reliability of a solid mount without tradeoffs to noise and vibration. Keep in mind that our trans and engine mounts are not a completely solid mount as they both use Polyurethane bushings. They both use a polyurethane that is stiff enough to be considered a good performance improvement but that is also compliant enough to be driveable while on the street.
Ride quality is extremely subjective and we are happy to report that most of our users of these mounts are using them for their performance increase and the slight noise/vibration tradeoff is well worth the effort of installation.
I decided to leave the motor mounts alone and just do the Pfadt trans mounts. I'm very happy with them. Made the car more solid feeling. Also a more positive shifter feel.
