Default error code p0777

I originally posted this on the scan and tune section and got one helpful response but thought I would see if there was any other input - maybve form osneone that has had this code come up - I kow the definition of the code is "Clutch Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid 2 - Stuck on" but not really sure what the next step is - I am hesitant to just take the car to the GM dealer without a liitle more knowledge of what might be going on

Here is the original post to the scan and tune section:

I have a 2006 supercharged cam etc with a6 transmission

Yesterday the transmission did a couple of strange things. It didn't want to shift. Seemed like it was slipping and then in sport mode it wasn't shifting using the paddles and it also wasn't displaying the gear in the HUD display.

It seems ok now but I haven't been able to really test it due to weather here.

As the check engine light came on I scanned for codes and came up with p0700 and p0777

Any ideas as to what is wrong how bad?

Thanks for any input

Car only has 13,000 miles but obviously gm isn't going to help if there is any damage or failure.

No personal experience but can tell you the P0700 is a code set when the TCM has a failed diagnostic, meaning something else caused the failure. The P0777 is the failure that requested the P0700.

There's a failure in the trans that will require repair, either dealer or independent mech. Just for info, the failure we've seen most often is the Internal Mode Switch (IMS) which gives a p0700 and p1825.

Sorry for the bad news.
