I'm currently running a 275/30/19 on the front and a 305/25/20 on the rear of my C6. I want a taller profile tire on the rear but there aren't a whole lot of options in the 305/30/20 size. I was wondering if anyone's running a 305/35/20 on the rear with a 275/30/19 on the front or if anyone could just give me some advice on tire sizes with a 19 inch front and a 20 inch rear wheel setup? I can't go any wider with the offset of my wheels and I really don't want to go any narrower. I'm really looking to fill up the fender gap on the rear without lowering the car. Although I'm not completely against lowering the car but I definitely want a taller profile rear tire than what I have. Thanks!
Keep in mind that you have to keep the difference in diameter between Front and Rear tires the same as stock and the fact that if you close the fender gap with a larger diameter tire you also lift the body of the car the same amount.
Thanks guys, from the research I've done it looks like it will only raise the car up about an inch. I don't think that will be a big deal and it will go a long way in taking up some fender gap.
If you're raising the car an inch through the tires that means you have added two inches in diameter. That's alot for a tire that's about 27 inches tall. You're going to throw your speedo off buy about 7 percent. 60 mph indicated will actually be about 64.5. Just something else to keep in mind. I'd also be concerned with front tire clearance when you turn the steering wheel.
275 30 r19
295 30 r20
goodyear eagle f1 and pirelli pzeros come in this sizing
These tires are almost exactly the same height (25.7" and 27" vs the factory 25.7" and 26.9") as stock so the electronic controls dont try to kill you.
The current sizing you are running (25.6" and 26") will likely cause problems at high speed because the front to rear diameter ratio is so off
