Default LG Street Series Headers

I have a 08 with the factory NPP exhuast option and i plan on getting a set of LG Street series headers with high flow cats. Will it make it louder? I want more power but I also would like it to sound louder as well. And should I be able to feel a differance with just the headers?

Yes, it will be much louder and you will feel a difference.

You should plan on getting it tuned shortly after getting the headers on to get full benefit from them.

i really liked these headers
super easy to install
great low end response from them
i went with their off road x pipe and makes the car sound so sweet
especially with the Borla's on her car

You will love them. Yes the sound will be deeper. It sounds great.

You will feel the difference but a tune is suggested after installing them

I have them and like them a lot. You should see about 30-35 rwhp after the tune, and yes it will be noticeably louder.

Do most people get them with the high flow cats or with out? I'm not sure which direction to go!

I run no cats on every header setup I buy.

More power, more sound and cheaper.

You may get increase in exhaust fumes, especially if tuned poorly. Some report their cars being very bad while others, like me, report exhaust fumes being minimal after tuning. It is VERY rare that I ever smell any gas in the car.

If you have strict visual inspections you'll need to have the cats though, period.

I say catted. We sell more catted and if anyone asks I always suggest it.

Without cats stinks to me.

With the valves closed it should not be much louder at all. When the valves open, it should be 2-3x louder than what you have now.

Yes most certainly doing a set of headers will gain power and torque, adding the CAI and a tune both on top of that will maximize the gains that you should see.

Is a tune absolutely required after the headers are installed?

To keep away from SES lights as well as the most gains from the headers, yes it should be done.

The car is smart enough to figure out the change in flow of the exhaust and can make fueling changes so to be safe, no it does not.
