This is my first vette so I'm not familiar with the issues they have. My driver window drops normally when I open the door, and window works great when rolling up or down, but won't go back up after I close the door. The lights turn off and door warning on dash go out so the sensor is telling the car the door is closed. I'm scared if it rains the car will get soaked inside. Any info/help is greatly appreciated. T.
lol this happened to me 3rd day I had my vette I went back to the dealer, they did the same procedure that Rod posted should do the trick I think the guy had the engine running or accessory switch on.

That should activate the indexing of the windows. Hope this helps.Rod
Will go try it, thank you very much for the help. Had a house fire last month and lost everything but this vette, it was parked behind my 68 camaro and 07 mustang that both burned. But I got this one moved in time. Now it sits outside in temp rent house driveway so have to worry about weather.
I have the SAME problem with my 05.. I shut the door and when the window (index's itself) the "GLASS" itself index's OK but it's on the OUTSIDE of the rubber that is around the window opening..
It should index and be "INSIDE" it rubber to keep the rain out.. It is raising to the correct height but it indexes to the wrong side of the TOP of the window opening..
Took it to Chevy, and was told its the air compressing inside the car that is preventing the window from going up in the correct location.... they advised that I open my passenger window 1/2 inch..
I tried that & it DID WORK... but know something is still wrong because you should NOT have to open a window to close the drivers door !!
Oh BTW it only does this about 50% of the time the other times it will index correctly!
Happened to me every couple months in my first vette. Once you know the procedure to reset the index feature, it ssaves a ton of hassel by fixing at home vice the stealership.

I just fixed a problem with my 05 yesterday similar to yours. The window wasn’t indexing and the driver door wouldn’t open some time. I remove the door handle and took the rubber pad out and cleaned it out. When I took it apart I found that it was damage inside. The plate inside was loose and the rubber was dry rotten. Call the dealership and he had one for $26. Before I went and get it took the passenger side door pad out and exchanged it with the driver side door to see if it will work. It worked fine. They are interchangeable. Bought the new boot and the doors are working fine. Hope this helps.
