I installed SLP Batwing cold air induction, and two months later the check engine light is on, took to dealer and was told the oil in the filter messed up the sensor and it has to be replaced.
FIX: remove the cold air induction and put stock ( paper filter) back on then replace sensor.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so what did you do?
If you have a steady hand, you can use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to clean. be EXTREMELY careful if you do this as you could damage the resistors or wires. If you aren't entirely comfortable, use the spray and reset the engine codes.
This isn't really a big deal, so don't worry too much.
Thanks guys for response. No I did not purchase anything nor did I take off my current SLP breather...dealer did say is was not "pending doom" but it needed to be addressed. Will get the cleaner and get the code reset.
