I have a 2005 c6 and almost once a day i will be driving down the highway and it will die. After i pull over and wait a minute i start it back up and it runs fine. It always says service traction control when this happens. I have scanned it and nothing comes up. Any advise or suggestions will be greatly appreciated thanks.
Is it a new battery? Possibly get it and the alternator tested. Does the DIC go dead when the car dies, or does the car stay powered and just die? If it stays powered then it sounds fuel related. Check the fuel pump relay in the fuze box under the hood. Check to see if it has any dark drown marks on it.
If the DIC dies also with the car then it's power related. Battery, alternator, etc.
nicholasisle,
If you've checked your battery and connections I'd recommend leaving it with your mechanics over night and have them try and replicate the problem. Let me know if you'd like to recommend a dealership.
