Default header install

Anyone in the Chicago area offering any specials on a header install with a tune and a dyno? Would like Kooks or maybe American racing with cats. I have a Halltech super bee on the car now.

If you have any mechanical ability, I would consider installing them yourself. It's not difficult at all and can be done in about 3-4 hours and save you a few hunderd dollars in labor.

I think I could handle the install, but what about the tune? Is the one Halltech offers or any others equivalent to getting a pro one done? I also noticed that the shops change out the plugs, is that because they are changing heat ranges or something else?

Usually they put in tr6 plugs which is one heat range colder than stock.

Header installs aren't too difficult as long as the ones your getting are quality units... get a Chinese knock off and your going to be cursing up a storm because of fitment...LOL Kooks and ARH are excellent brands and the fitment is excellent. Another brand you might want to consider is LG as their fitment is also excellent, made in USA, lifetime warranty, includes 02 extensions, and also GM gaskets. If your interested in a set please let me know as we're running a special on LG Motorsports headers right now till the end of the month.
